2009-07-04 Walls
After Foula we took of back to the mainland and a small village named Walls to get some provision and bunker. Walls turned out to be a very small, quiet but friendly village. They had local boat club and marina with various facilities but the marina was to small for us so we stay at the public pier. In Walls we joined with s/y Yvalda, a Forgus 37 from Sweden. We previously met in Lerwick and they had spent a few days on Fair Isle as well. We spent the evening together drinking whisky and coffee as usual and telling stories from the sea. In the morning we managed to fill up on food in the small local store as well as getting topped up on water from the public toilet on the pier. Remember to allways keep a long hose in the boat, it can come in useful.
